Seems like both the Khurrana siblings have a penchant for exploring unconventional topics.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s younger brother Aparshakti Khurrana has been exceptional even in supporting roles like in Stree & Street Dancer 3D.
Aparshakti has now bagged the lead role in an upcoming quirky comedy ‘Helmet’, helmed by Satram Ramani. Co-starring Pranutan Bahl, the movie also features Paatal Lok actor Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Verma in pivotal roles.
Why the name ‘Helmet’ you ask? It’s quite obvious what the word implies and going by this promo – the comedy is going to centre around condoms.
“Helmet is a word given to condoms, actually. The film is about condoms. It is about how even in today’s day and age it is awkward for people to ask for a pack of condoms at the medical store, even in big cities like Delhi or Mumbai,” Aparshakti told TOI.
He added – “It is a situational awkward comedy but it’s not like that throughout the film people will keep talking about condoms!”
Sex Comedy Or Not?
When Rediff asked if the movie will be a sex comedy, Aparshakti denied that and commented – “It is a proper family film, just a film on condoms. It can never be a sex comedy. I don’t think that the audience would expect me to do a sex comedy. I think I have been a part of good, relevant, content and taking that forward, I hope this also falls into the ambit of good, relevant, content. We have shot the film with that honesty. I hope people connect to that honesty once they see the film.”
