THROWBACK To When Big B Was INDEBTED With Rs 90 CRORES LOAN! Read Inside-

Shahenshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan, even at the age of 78, works as hard as any youngster.

Undoubtedly, he is one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema.

But, did you guys know Big B, who has lavish houses abroad, owner of some super expensive properties & bungalows, went through a financial crisis, which almost left him bankrupt?

Back in 1996, after establishing himself as a successful promising actor, Amitabh Bachchan tried his hand at production and set up ‘Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd’ (ABCL).

However, his dream project didn’t work that later pushed him into a deep financial strain in 2000. As per a Koimoi report, the ‘Zanjeer’ actor was indebted with a massive amount of Rs 90 crores loan.

If reports are to be believed, Big B had to mortgage his ‘Prateeksha’ bungalow to Sahara India Finance.

Back in 2010, Sr. Bachchan had confessed about this dark time in his blog.

He wrote, “Ten years ago in the year 2000, when the entire world was celebrating the new century, I was celebrating my disastrous fortune. There were no films, no money, no company, a million legal cases against and the tax authorities had put notice of recovery on my home.”

Guess what? It’s his very popular TV show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ that changed things for him.

“An offer for television changed all that when I agreed to anchor ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ much against all the advice and resentment from friends, family, and advisers. Taken to the United Kingdom at the Elstree Studios where ‘Millionaire’ was being recorded, I observed the elan and grace of the show and the immense production values that it incorporated,” the megastar revealed.

Well, this clearly shows that even one of the richest personalities also goes through ups & downs.
