Recently reports went viral that there would be a desi version of the popular Money Heist series, which invited mixed reactions from the audience.
The director duo Abbas-Mustan is making a heist thriller film called ‘Three Monkeys’ which will be headlined by Arjun Rampal.
However, contrary to previous rumours, sources have clarified to Peeping Moon that the project isn’t a remake of Money Heist but an ORIGINAL script.
“Yes, it’s a robbery film with a similar vibe but has nothing to do with the popular Spanish series Money Heist. Neither Arjun Rampal’s character is on the lines of Professor. He is playing a cop searching for three robbers in this film,” a source revealed to the portal.
The Three Monkeys will also allegedly star Abbas’ son Mustafa Burmawala and Vishal Jethwa (who gave a breakthrough performance as the villain in Mardaani 2) as ROBBERS. The film has reportedly commenced shooting in Mumbai and will wrap up by December.
Meanwhile, Arjun Rampal has movies like The Rapist, Penthouse and Dhaakad lined up ahead of him.
