Directed by Jasmeet K Reen, the dark comedy is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
Alia Bhatt’s ‘Darlings’ movie, which revolves around a mother-daughter relationship, also features Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles.
In the movie, Shefali is playing the role of Alia’s mother.

According to Pinkvilla, the makers of have apparently decided to skip the theatrical release of ‘Darlings’ and have opted for a direct-to-digital premiere. Reportedly, ‘Darlings’ is said to have an OTT release on Netflix this summer.

As the report further suggests, ‘Darlings’ has supposedly been sold to Netflix for a whopping amount of Rs 80 CRORES!

The conversations were on with multiple players and it’s finally Netflix, who has bagged the exclusive streaming rights. The film has been sold for a sum of Rs 80 crore, thereby making it one of the biggest deals for a female led film.”
