As per trade experts, Ponniyin Selvan 2 has crossed 150 crores gross worldwide in its 1st weekend itself!
The India business crossed over 82 crores – it had a 32 crore opening, followed by Rs 24 crores on Saturday, 26.50 crores on Sunday.
Starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Sobhita Dhulipala amongst others, PS-2 is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1995 Tamil novel of the same name.

The sequel received immense praise for Aishwarya Rai-Vikram’s performances and the rich backstory of the characters. While PS-1 focused more on the adventures and antics of Karthi’s Vanthiyathevan, PS-2 delves deeper into Nandini’s origin story, her bitter past with Aditha and her ultimate revenge.
