Varun Dhawan & Anushka Sharma to reportedly pair up again for a movie.
5 years after Sui Dhaaga: Made In India, Varun-Anushka will apparently play the lead in THIS Tamil remake.
If his Peeping Moon report is to be believed, Varun Dhawan & Anushka Sharma have supposedly been roped in to headline the Hindi remake of Atlee Kumar’s 2016 Tamil blockbuster, Theri, which starred Thalapathy Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabu and Amy Jackson in the lead.
As the report further suggests, the Hindi version – which is said to be a reworked version of Theri with additional characters and plot changes – will be directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees.
It is said that Anushka, who has liked the script and immediately agreed to be a part of the movie, will sign on the dotted lines after the final discussion with Atlee in June. The movie will feature two female leads and the search for the second leading lady is still underway.
Earlier, it was reported that Janhvi Kapoor was in talks for Anushka’s role, but she had to urn it down due to date issues.
The Hindi film will be produced by the Jawan director in collaboration with Murad Khetani. The pre-production of the movie has already begun and is expected to go on floors by August 2023.
On he work front, Anushka will next be seen in Jhulan Goswami’s biopic, Chakda Xpress. On the other hand, Varun has Bawaal with Janhvi and Citadel series with Samantha lined up in his kitty.
