Akshay Kumar-starrer Soorarai Pottru remake gets a new release date.
The Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film was previously slated to hit theatres on 1 September 2024.
Directed by Sudha Kongara, who also helmed the original version, the remake also stars Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal in prominent roles.
Suriya, who headlined the Tamil original is expected to make a cameo in the Askhay Kumar-starrer. Both the lead actors of Soorarai Pottru – Suriya and Aparna Balamurali – had bagged National awards for the movie.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the release date of Soorarai Pottru remake has been postponed to ensure apt release window for the movie.
Reportedly, the move has been made to make sure there is a 4-month gap from Akshay’s preceding release.
