Singham Again Release to be delayed to avoid clash with Pushpa 2?
Both the highly-anticipated films were scheduled to release on Independence Day next year – 15 August 2024.
However, as per the Bollywood Hungama report, Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s team has allegedly decided to postpone the release owing to the upcoming mega-clash.
Singham Again:
“Neither Rohit Shetty nor Ajay Devgn are egoistic to stick to a date that hampers the business prospect for their own film. Of course, they were upset with the decision of Allu Arjun to arrive uninformed at a date already announced by a potential blockbuster like Singham, but then, they don’t wish to go the same route as Pushpa team by going in a clash scenario,” a source commented.
Both Ajay and Rohit are in agreement to let the Pushpa 2 team take over the Independence holiday because they believe Singham Again can break records even without a holiday.
The insider further updated that the Singham sequel has not commenced shooting yet. Singham Again stars Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar. Deepika Padukone is also joining this universe as its first lady cop.
“Deepika’s character is more along the lines of a Lady Singham and she has the arc of being Ajay Devgn’s sister in the film,” a source had previously revealed.
Moreover, even Tiger Shroff is supposed to make a cameo appearance in this actioner.
Pushpa 2:
Meanwhile, talking about Pushpa 2 – the official announcement of the film’s release date – 15 August 2024, took the Internet by storm recently. Made on a budget of ₹500 crores, the Pushpa sequel is being touted as one of the most expensive Indian films to date!
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun as the titular character alongside Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna.
