Last year it was reported that Ranveer Singh would step into the iconic shoes of Don for Don 3, following the legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan and now it is believed that Kriti Sanon will star opposite him.
The movie marks Farhan Akhtar’s much-anticipated return to direction after over a decade. A month later, Kiara Advani was signed on as the female lead, but had to exit the high-octane action film due to her pregnancy.
As per Pinkvilla report, Kriti Sanon is the frontrunner to headline the project opposite Ranveer.
Sources close to the development reveal that Kriti Sanon has given her nod in principle to star alongside Ranveer Singh in Don 3, with the official signing expected within the next couple of weeks. “Farhan Akhtar and the creative team at Excel Entertainment were keen on casting an actress with strong screen presence and experience, and Kriti ticks all the boxes. She brings the charisma needed to portray Roma and is enthusiastic about coming on board,” the source shared.
We’re told that Farhan Akhtar has already completed most of the location scouting for Don 3 and will soon begin work on the action sequences with an international stunt team. “The film will primarily be shot across various locations in Europe, which have already been finalised. The script is locked, with only minor refinements underway alongside the action choreography. Pre-production will continue over the next few months, with the team targeting an October–November 2025 shoot start,” the source revealed.
Before stepping into the world of Don 3, Kriti Sanon will complete her ongoing projects, including Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein and Cocktail 2, produced by Dinesh Vijan. She’s also in discussions for a horror thriller titled Nai Naveli, once again collaborating with Aanand L Rai, slated for a 2026 release.
