Diljit Dosanjh made a memorable Met Gala debut, and it’s one for the books, designed by Prabal Gurung.
The singer, who had previously shared glimpses of his invitation on Instagram, chose an outfit that proudly showcased his cultural roots on the world stage.

Dressed in a regal ‘Maharaja look’ designed by renowned fashion designer Prabal Gurung, Diljit Dosanjh wore an off-white achkan paired with a traditional pajama and a turban. Completing the ensemble was a dramatic floor-length cape adorned with the map of Punjab, meaningful motifs, and the Mool Mantra inscribed in Gurmukhi across the back.

The Mool Mantra, a cornerstone of Sikh philosophy, powerfully reinforces Punjabi identity — and by wearing it on his back, Diljit Dosanjh made more than just a style statement. For an artist whose global journey has remained deeply rooted in his culture, this was a meaningful and symbolic way to tell that story.
Styled by Abhilasha Devnani, the Punjabi pop sensation completed his look with layered neckpieces, coordinating head adornments on his turban, and a traditional talwar in hand.

Joining the prestigious event this year from India were celebrities like Kiara Advani, Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mona Patel, and Isha Ambani, along with celebrated designers Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Manish Malhotra.
