Pregnant with grace and style, Kiara Advani made her Met Gala debut in a custom creation by Gaurav Gupta.
Walking in the footsteps of Bollywood powerhouses like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, Kiara embraced the occasion with a striking look that paid tribute to the legendary André Leon Talley.

Her ensemble featured a dramatic double-panel cape, echoing Talley’s iconic style and adding a powerful statement to her first appearance at fashion’s biggest night.

Kiara Advani, expecting her first child, made history as the first Indian actor to walk the Met Gala red carpet with a visible baby bump. Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, she wore a striking sculptural gown adorned with an antique gold breastplate embellished with ghungroos and crystals. Designer Gaurav Gupta described the look as “a gold sculpted breastplate with two hearts — mother and child — linked by an abstract umbilical cord at its core.”

A white satin train edged with black trim trailed gracefully behind, creating a striking contrast. “When my stylist Anaita approached Gaurav to craft my Met look, he envisioned ‘Bravehearts’ — a design that celebrates the transformative journey I’m embarking on, while beautifully aligning with this year’s theme, ‘Tailored for You’,” Advani shared with Vogue India.
She completed the look with statement gold rings, striking earrings, and an ear cuff from Outhouse Jewellery and Wrapgame India. Adding a touch of sparkle, she wore a 17-carat pear-shaped diamond and 5-carat heart-shaped diamond earrings by Kantilal Chhotalal, perfectly echoing the gown’s golden accents. Her pinned-back waves and smoky eye makeup tied the ensemble together with effortless elegance.
