Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Latest Box Office Collection

Date:

On its 15th day (second Thursday) in theatres, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari saw one of its lowest daily returns yet.

The romantic drama starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor witnessed a significant drop, reflecting the waning momentum in its second week.

The film had promising early weeks, but as it progressed, sustaining audience interest became challenging—especially facing stiff competition from Kantara: Chapter 1, which has continued to dominate screens. While Kantara too posted a dip in collections, its larger footprint and pan-India appeal have helped it maintain stronger hold.

In the second week, Sunny Sanskari had already begun showing signs of fatigue—Daily earnings were tapering off, particularly during weekdays. On Day 15, the decline was sharper, marking one of its all-time lows. Later reports indicate the film added only around ₹1 crore on that Thursday, pushing its second-week cumulative further downward.

It opened decently with ₹9.25 crore on Day 1 and a ₹30 crore weekend, but the momentum dropped soon after. The film earned ₹3.25 crore each on Monday and Tuesday, followed by ₹2.35 crore on Wednesday and ₹2.25 crore on Thursday, closing its first week at around ₹41–42 crore. In the second week, it struggled to stay afloat, collecting only ₹2.25 crore on Friday and slipping below ₹1.50 crore during weekdays, with Day 12 bringing ₹1.25 crore and Day 15 just ₹0.90 crore — its lowest yet. Despite a promising cast, Dharma Productions’ brand, and strong promotions, the film failed to sustain audience interest amid competition from Kantara 2. Mixed reviews and a familiar storyline further affected its performance, leaving it with a domestic total of ₹52–54 crore by the second Thursday — an underwhelming figure for a big-banner romantic entertainer that had high pre-release expectations.

Despite these setbacks, the film’s earlier performance enabled it to end up with a respectable run overall. Its lifetime prospects hinge on whether upcoming releases can redirect audiences or squeeze it out prematurely. Meanwhile, Kantara continues to set a high bar with massive collections across language markets and solid staying power.

In short, what began as a promising theatrical journey for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is now tapering off, struggling to sustain its initial buzz in the face of stiff competition and weekday slumps.
