Right behind him is R Madhavan, who has reportedly taken home Rs 9 crore. He plays Ajay Sanyal, the Chief of IB. The character draws inspiration from Ajit Doval, which automatically makes it one of the most compelling roles in the film.
Akshaye Khanna and Sanjay Dutt come next with an impressive Rs 2.5 crore each. Akshaye plays Pakistani gangster Rehman Dakait, while Sanjay portrays SP Chaudhary Aslam, a role based on the late officer Chaudhry Aslam Khan.
Arjun Rampal reportedly charged Rs 1 crore for playing Major Iqbal from the ISI, a character inspired by Ilyas Kashmiri. Dhurandhar Not Based On Major Mohit Sharma, Aditya Dhar Clarifies
There has been some buzz online about the film being based on the life of Major Mohit Sharma, but director Aditya Dhar clarified the confusion himself. In a post on X, he explained that Dhurandhar is not a biopic of Major Sharma and that any future project on his life would be made only with the family’s consent and full respect.
