According to earlier reports, Vicky was rumoured to appear in Dhurandhar 2 as Major Vihaan Shergill in a special cameo.
The buzz claimed director Aditya Dhar had cleverly woven a Uri track into the sequel, despite the timeline differences. Some reports even suggested that Vicky would show up for a few high-octane action scenes. Whether he would share screen space with Ranveer Singh or not remained a mystery. Naturally, fans were already picturing goosebumps-worthy moments.

A fresh report by Bollywood Hungama has now shut down these rumours completely. A source close to the director clarified that Vicky Kaushal and Uri have absolutely no connection to Dhurandhar. The source added that while the curiosity around the sequel is understandable, these are purely fan-generated speculations and not facts. They also called out the media for turning assumptions into headlines.
So, no Vicky cameo, no Major Shergill surprise entry. For now, Dhurandhar 2 remains its own beast. And honestly, half the fun of Bollywood is these wild rumours anyway, right?

Dhurandhar 2 Locked For Eid 2026; To Release In Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada And Malayalam Following Huge South Demand!
The makers have officially announced Dhurandhar 2, slated for a grand Eid 2026 release on March 19, 2026, with the film set to release simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, marking its five-language pan-India and global rollout.
Currently in post-production, Dhurandhar 2 is shaping up to be the most anticipated Indian release of 2026, arriving this Eid, bigger and truly pan-India.
