Mardaani 3 Box Office Collection; 4 Crore Opening On Day 1!
Rani Mukerji is back in uniform, back in action, and back to doing what she does best. Mardaani 3 has officially hit theatres and kicked off its box office journey with a solid ₹4 crore opening on Day 1, making it the biggest opening in the Mardaani franchise so far.

Not bad for a gritty cop drama in a crowded release window. What makes this opening interesting is how the franchise has steadily grown over the years. Mardaani opened at ₹3.46 crore, Mardaani 2 improved slightly with ₹3.80 crore, and now Mardaani 3 has pushed past both to claim the top spot on Day 1 with a ₹4 crore opening. Clearly, audience trust in Rani Mukerji’s DCP Shivani Shivaji Roy has only strengthened with time.

That said, the road ahead is not entirely smooth. Mardaani 3 is facing stiff competition from the patriotic juggernaut Border 2, which is pulling crowds with its mass appeal. The coming weekend will be crucial in deciding how strong this run really gets.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala, the film stars Rani Mukerji, Mallika Prasad, Janki Bodiwala, and Prajesh Kashyap. This time, Shivani is drawn into a deeply unsettling case involving the disappearance of several pre-pubescent girls. Her investigation leads her to Amma, played by Mallika Prasad, a chilling beggar mafia queen who rules the streets with fear. But what initially looks like a crime network soon reveals something far darker and more disturbing.
Our review – Rani Mukerji is rock-solid and completely convincing, as always. Even when the writing starts feeling predictable and the villain lacks depth, she keeps the film watchable. Unfortunately, the preachy climax and familiar beats make Mardaani 3 feel like the weakest sequel in the franchise.
Still, with a franchise-best opening and Rani leading from the front, Mardaani 3 has made its presence felt. Now all eyes are on whether word of mouth can help it hold strong against the competition.
