8 Bollywood Celebs Who Received X, Y, Z Security Covers:
B-Town superstars have been facing death threats quite frequently lately, leading to the government providing them with heavy security.
From Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan to Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar; Here’s a list of B-Town celebs who got X, Y, Z security covers by the government after receiving alleged death threats:
About X, Y, Z Security Categories:
Depending on the threat perception to the person, the category is divided into six tiers: SPG, Z+ (highest level), Z, Y+, Y and X.
While Z+ category includes 55 personnel (10+ NSG commandos and police personnel), Z category is a security detail of 22 personnel, (4-6 NSG commandos and police personnel), Y+ category has 11 personnel (2-4 commandos and police personnel), Y has 8 personnel (1 or 2 commandos and police personnel), X category has 2 personnel, with no commandos but only armed police personnel.
1) Shah Rukh Khan
After the blockbuster success of Pathaan and Jawan, superstar Shah Rukh Khan has unfortunately received death threats allegedly. The 57-year-old received Y+ security from the Maharashtra state government after reportedly giving a written complaint to them.

2) Salman Khan
After receiving multiple death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Salman Khan was provided with Y+ security from the Maharashtra govt. As per reports, members of the gang were stationed outside the Tiger 3 actor’s Panvel farmhouse and had plans to kill him.

3) Amitabh Bachchan
In 2022, Amitabh Bachchan had his security beefed up from Y category to X category. This came in action after Salman Khan’s death threat case.
4) Akshay Kumar
Last year, the state govt had also provided X-category cover to Akshay Kumar following the Sidhu Moosewala shootout case. However, the reason behind the security level-up was not disclosed.
