Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur movie trailer is finally out! The much-awaited trailer was launched today (7th Nov) at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi by the Chief of the Army Staff, Manoj Pande.
Based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Vicky Kaushal has left everyone impressed with his portrayal of the former Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
The 2-minute-43-second video offers glimpses of Manekshaw’s illustrious military career spanning over 4 decades. The video also shows his courage, bravery and discipline.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Sam Bahadur stars Sanya Malhotra as Manekshaw’s wife Silloo and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The trailer concludes with Sam saying, “Hum rahe ya na rahi iss vardi ka gaurav hamesha rehna chahiye (Whether we live or die, the honor of this uniform must always endure).”
Sharing the trailer, the makers wrote –

His career witnessed the shaping of India’s geopolitical borders, and his life was marked by significant milestones, from fighting in World War II to being the Chief of Army Staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, that led to the creation of Bangladesh. This RSVP film explores his dynamic personality and his unparalleled military career, offering a glimpse into the life of a no-nonsense Army Commander, also known as “Sam Bahadur” by the soldiers he led.”

The movie is all set to have a box office clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s much-anticipated movie, Animal. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga (Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh fame), the film is a gangster drama that revolves around the toxic relationship between a father and his son.
The movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri.
