These Bollywood Celebs are Showing Support to the Black Lives Matter Movement

The murder of George Floyd has caused not just talk but action as well. He was a 46-year old man of colour, was murdered by a team of police officers on May 25 in Minneapolis. The citizens of Minneapolis set the city on fire, rioting and protesting the undying issue of racism.

In support of this event, Blackout Tuesday was introduced by Hollywood music executives Brianna Agyemang and Jamila Thomas. The ‘Black’ people have made a decision to not sell or buy any items on this particular day as they want to show their unity even in economy.

Racism is such an in depth issue that it isn’t just Hollywood who has taken up the Blackout Tuesday movement all over social media but the supports extends from our Bollywood family as well.

Many of our celebrities have taken this opportunity to share blank black images in support of the movement. From Instagram posts to stories, it’s happening all over the internet.

Actress Mouni Roy has also engaged herself with the Blackout Tuesday Movement by posting the social black blank sheild on her instagram page.

The actress and new mommy Amy Jackson has also taken to Instagram to share the blank image as support of the cause.

Actress Shruti Haasan has also done the same along with captioning her post with the trending #blackouttuesday hashtag.

Many other celebrities have followed the same protocol and with deep sympathy and hurt do they speak loud and clear for the betterment of this world and the eradication of racism.

Karan Johar, Karisma Kapoor, Mahesh Babu, Isabelle Kaif, Tara Sutaria, Rannvijay Singha, Hina Khan, and many more stars have shown the same supportive spirit in this crucial time.

Actors such as Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal have posted instagram stories with the black blank saying on the account of Blackout Tuesday.

We can only hope the social evil of racism diffuses and in turn a brigh ray of light comes onto us ushering brotherhood and love all around us, near or far.
