She also alleged that the demolition was a counterattack to the heated exchange between her and Shiv Sena chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut after her criticism of the Maharashtra government and Mumbai police.

As per NDTV report, Kangana also cited an alleged threat given to her by Sanjay Raut in an interview.

However, BMC counsels denied the actress’s allegations. They said that the BMC had simply been performing its statutory duty in demolishing portions of the bungalow that Ranaut had altered illegally.

The civic body also alleged that despite making illegal structural changes, Kangana had approached the court for relief.

BMC said that it was ‘an abuse of the process of law’, urging the HC to dismiss Ranaut’s plea and impose a cost on her.

Mr Raut also told the court through his counsel Pradeep Thorat that the BMC’s action had nothing to do with his interview or any other comments made on Ranaut.

After all the concerned parties had filed their written submission, the hearing was concluded, post which the HC reserved the order.
