‘Release Rhea Chakraborty’ says Swara Bhasker as AIIMS Report Rules Out Murder in SSR Case

The AIIMS report recently ruled out the murder angle in the SSR case. It stated that there were ‘no injuries on the body other than of hanging’ nor was ‘presence of any sedative material’ detected.

Now, Swara Bhasker has backed the demand of Adhir Chowdhury (Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha) that Rhea Chakraborty be released.

Swara wrote, “Well done sir!”, and added ‘#Release Rhea Chakraborty’. 

Alleging that Chakraborty had been the victim of Political conspiracy, Chowdhury had stated that she should be released without further harassment.

In a column published in The Week, Swara Bhasker had earlier defended Rhea, saying how after the initial noise of nepotism, attention had been diverted to Rhea after SSR’s father filed an FIR.

“This led to a shocking slander campaign and hysterical media trial that has practically declared Rhea to be a murderess, with no proof, based on contorted facts, rank misinformation and what are now being proven to be lies,” Swara wrote.

Rhea Chakraborty is currently lodged in Byculla Jail, with judicial custody extended upto October 6.

She was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau for allegedly procuring drugs for her boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput.
