Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap new project ‘Dobaara’ had recently been announced.
But Taapsee, Anurag and filmmaker have hit the headlines now for all the wrong reasons.
As per a Business Today report, the Income Tax Department raided the houses of Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl as well as producer Madhu Mantena. The department is reportedly investigating people related to Phantom Films for tax evasion!
Outlook report highlights that apart from these celebrities, 30 other locations in Mumbai and Pune are also being searched. KWAN Talent management agency also appears to under their scanner.
Phantom Films was founded by Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena in 2011. In 2018, the company announced its dissolution after director Vikas Bahl was slammed with sexual assault allegations.
Anurag Kashyap then launched his new production company, Good Bad Films, while Vikramaditya Motwane launched Andolan Films. Meanwhile, Madhu bought the shares of Anurag, Vikramaditya and Vikas in Phantom Films.
